Is FORD Stock Overvalued in 2022? (Ford Stock Prediction)

What is Ford? 

Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, United States. It was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand, and luxury cars under its Lincoln luxury brand.


Ford's market cap is currently below that of Rivian, which is yet to sell EVs in any meaningful volumes. It is also less than 1/10 of Tesla's market cap.

Ford's EV sales are forecast to be above Rivian's, for the foreseeable future and Ford's EV sales will also reach about 50% of Tesla sales in the next two years.

If Ford's EV sector is to be evaluated on par with that of pure EV companies, then its conventional segment can only be evaluated as being a massive net negative.

The fundamentals suggest that most pure EV companies are significantly overvalued, while Ford is significantly undervalued.
